Return & refund policy

Clear rules for parts returns, deposit refunds and dispute resolution.

Last revised: 12 April 2026.

Booking deposits

For large jobs (overhauls, hybrid battery replacement) we may take a deposit to cover ordered parts. Deposits are fully refundable if you cancel before the parts have been ordered, and refundable less the restocking charge of the supplier if cancelled after.

Unused parts ordered for you

Special-order parts that arrive at the workshop but turn out not to be the right fit are returned to the supplier where possible. Any restocking charge imposed by the supplier is passed through to you at cost — we do not mark it up.

Workshop services

Workshop labour is non-refundable once the service has been performed. If you believe a job was not performed to a reasonable standard, please bring the vehicle back within seven days — we will inspect, document and put it right at no charge under the workmanship warranty.

If the workmanship warranty applies

The 12-month / 20,000 km workmanship warranty covers labour and the parts we supplied for the original job. We do not refund the original invoice, but we do redo the work at no cost and replace any covered parts that have failed.

Parts that do not fail in our workshop

Where a part has failed under its manufacturer warranty (not workmanship), we handle the supplier claim for you. Refunds for defective parts are issued in the form they were paid — cash, card or e-wallet — within seven working days of supplier credit.

How to raise a refund

Bring the invoice and the vehicle to the workshop, or write to info@thestarcon.my. We acknowledge every email within one working day and resolve most issues within seven.

Dispute resolution

If we cannot reach an outcome you are happy with, you have the right to refer the dispute to the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (TTPM). We will provide all relevant documentation to support the process.
